Eng. Luis G. Ramírez graduated from “Georgia Institute of Technology” with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a major in Computer Architecture. Previously, he served as the Engineering Director of multinational Wang Labs, and was one of the founders and now the actual President of Avant Technologies. Eng. Ramírez has extensive experience in world class product manufacturing, quality systems, engineering services, entrepreneurship, business, and research & development with several granted USPTO patents.

He is a member of the INTECO board, Puerto Rico EPSCoR State Committee, the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and PREC’s ACT project evaluation committees.

For several decades, Eng. Luis Ramírez has been a consistent proponent indicating that one of the most important “Pillar for the sustainable economic development in Puerto Rico requires being the owners of innovative products/services and understanding the markets for eventual export”. He has strong experience in innovation entrepreneurship, able to understand and move science and technology to real market opportunities
